What is affiliate marketing?
If you haven’t noticed..
The career path of the 9-5 work week is changing. People are looking for ways to earn money that allow them to enjoy life as well.
Instead of following the traditional path, many people are deciding that there is a better way to live.
As Generation X and the Millennial generation have watched their parents and grandparents work until retirement.
They then suffer health issues, and never manage to achieve their goals for the “golden years”.
These generations are looking for alternatives.
There are new thoughts challenging what a successful life looks like.
What does this mean for you?
New thoughts and ideas have you taking a look at life after college. Now you are thinking about how you want to spend YOUR years BEFORE retirement.
This can be a painful experience for some. You want to have the financial means to have certain items, or travel to certain places.
However, thanks to the internet and social media, this new mindset of living for NOW has the new people like you finding creative ways to use what you know to choose alternative careers.
New ways of thinking have brought about a change in what true happiness is.
It is only after we realize and acknowledge our unhappiness, that we can make positive changes.
Many people are deciding that possessions do not equal happiness and are giving time more currency in their lives.
The traditional idea of money being the ultimate resource is changing. Now there is the belief that money should never be the only goal in life.
Experience and time is being valued far greater than a cushy bank account.
People just like you are learning to minimize, and to use their dollars to invest in paying off debt and to create a lifestyle of their choice.
Fear of not having enough or being successful is definitely still a dreadful thought. However, many people are selling possessions, apartments and houses in order to find liberation.
I know many of my friends who have sold their homes to pursue a lifestyle of traveling in pursuit of a mini-retirement. Something they can enjoy NOW.
Not everyone has taken this extreme, but those I do have friends that have taken jobs while in another country as a cafe server, teaching English, finding online writing jobs, teaching online courses, building an email list, blogging or becoming an affiliate for certain companies they align with.
Right now job satisfaction is at an all-time low. Career opportunities are being limited for those with college debt. This means that taking advantage of affiliate programs using technology is really attractive. Affiliate marketing is incredibly lucrative and allows for creativity….even if you are not a seasoned writer or video expert.
In affiliate marketing create content for your online businesses and recommend other people’s products.
You can do anything from teach a class, write an article, lead a challenge, write a blog post or create an email series.
When a customer signs up for the service provided by the affiliate companies, or the products, the customer will be taken care of by their customer service staff. This takes some of the work OFF your plate!
Even if you create your own products, you can utilize the payment processing options and customer service provided by the companies you use to operate your online businesses. This allows you to focus on the lifestyle you are creating instead of the operations.
By utilizing the tools the companies offer to handle time consuming customer service issues, your businesses can earn thousands of dollars each month and grow.
- This means for a minimal cost or membership: You literally can run a business from anywhere with virtually no expensive overhead to operate.
- In the free time created by these businesses, an array of choices open up: from mini-retirements to complete location independence.
- You can now pursue dreams that the traditional work structure doesn’t allow.
Companies like My Lead System Pro offer an education platform for how to make this all happen and provide digital tools like funnels, blog set up and hosting, a business center to host your courses and a way to offer an affiliate program of your own.
I personally use blogging, email marketing and affiliate programs to grow an income online by recommending products that I use.
Of course I use Social Media, but I mostly use email marketing to connect with my customers. I am able to build relationships with people all over the world and teach my subscribers and my team how to use social media strategies to create true connections and provide solutions to people using their own personal skill sets.
If you choose to become an affiliate in addition to your personally created products, I would recommend building a business referring consumable products that people order over and over and memberships that people would use month after month.
Educate yourself on how to help your customers and create resources for them. Choosing the online platform provides a low over head way to build a business that has the potential to grow and evolve in a way that a brick and mortar store cannot. You are less attached to hours worked by offering digital products and opportunities to order products online. Not carrying inventory or hiring customer service makes it possible to be location independent.
Don’t get me wrong, an online business takes work and may not pay off “big” until you are able to truly connect with the right customers. There is a learning curve for you as well, but there is a lot of education available out there. You can learn strategies free online or you can learn from experts who have achieved the goals you want to achieve.
If you have drive, you can achieve anything.
I personally have invested in my education so that I can learn how to navigate online tools, become an expert in my niche and attract buyers. My teamleaders offer mentorship (free of course), but I knew my own personal success depended on me.
My Lead System Pro– affordable online education and tools to build a blog, funnels and a your very own course. (one stop shop)
