How to be your own boss: Here are some things that you need to know.
Have you read the book “Being Boss” by Kathleen Shannon and Emily Thompson?
I started reading it because I loved the story behind how they became friends and started growing their businesses together.
In “Being Boss”, they share the details of what it really took to create the successful businesses that they have today.
Many businesses may seem like they were an overnight success, but there’s so much more that you do not know about.
Not everyone knows what or how to even get started.
That on it’s own can take some time.
There are a few main ideas that I have learned myself though this book and my own experiences.
First you need to decide what type of business you want to have.
Most of the people that I work with are in network marketing or direct sales.
There are many other types of home businesses though and you just need to decide what model works for you.
Once you figure that out, you need to decide where you want to marker yourself and who you want to connect with.
Personally, I love using social media.
There are many people though who prefer to do things in person though.
Once you figure out what it is that you want to do…
You need to work on developing the mindset that will allow you to say in business.
When you are your own boss, you are in control of everything that is happening for your business.
You are in charge of our own schedule.
You are in charge of your own actions.
Being your own boss means that you are holding yourself accountable.
When you are your own boss, you cannot blame things on anyone else.
The excuses and procrastination that prevent you from doing the work, are things that you allow to happen.
So what do you need to do in order to make things happen for yourself?
In the beginning I knew that I needed to find a way to hold myself accountable.
I started out with a planner that I made on a word document to track my actions on social media.
This original planner is actually the same one that I share with many people because it helps you actually track your actions and
keeps you doing activities that will allow you to build relationships to build your business.

If you’re anything like me, there’s just too much going on everyday for me to remember what I need to do.
