How to plan your blog content
Does it seem overwhelming to figure out all the topics that you want to talk about in your posts?
You may be overthinking the process!
My first blog on animal training and nutrition had a very specific purpose.
When I create my next two blogs I had so many things that I wanted to talk about!
I felt like I was jumping from one topic to another.
Then I realized I needed to learn how to plan my blog content around specific topics.
You don’t have to write everything possible about a topic in a specific post.
It’s possible to draw content out into several posts.
Some tips to help you:
- Think about what problem you could help someone solve
- Decide what topic you want to talk about
- Create subcategories from that topic
- Share your own personal stories if you have any
Don’t forget to lead people somewhere.
Sharing information is great!
But, where do you want to lead your readers?
Maybe you want them to try something new.
You might want to give them something to think about.
Don’t forget that your posts can lead them to purchasing something.
So, in a nutshell, bloggers make recommendations for people.
What can you do?
- Share information about something that can solve a problem.
- Recommend something that worked for you
- Also, share testimonials from others
Someone who needs that solution will buy based on your recommendation.
This is why it is so important to create quality content.
You don’t want your content to contain too much fluff.
This will push people away from what you are writing.
Provide useful tips and information that people can use.
There are so many people who are writing about the same topics.
You can become the person that everyone goes to if your posts are of better quality.
I did a blog post on how to create content that attracts people to you. You can check it out here.
